GLS informationen
as a socially responsible company, we treat safety issues as a priority. This applies to both road traffic and shipments, as well as the protection of personal data. Therefore, we would like to inform you that from 01/02/2021 the scope of Recipients' data presented on address labels will change, which will allow GLS to protect the data of your customers even more.
The change concerns the removal of the Recipient's phone number from the address label. From the moment of the change, it will continue to be available in the ADE-Plus shipping system and GLS internal applications. Couriers will still be able to contact Recipients to arrange delivery details, but the Recipient's number will no longer be written on the address label. We remind you that providing a contact number to the Recipient when sending parcels in shipping systems increases the efficiency of your parcels delivery. The change does not affect the operation of services related to communication with the recipient of the package as part of the InfoService and InfoCourier services, which will function with the same effectiveness.
Thanks to this solution, we eliminate the potential access of third parties to the telephone number, and contact with the Recipient remains a priority. Thanks to the introduction of the above change, we provide full comfort to recipients by providing a courier service of the highest quality combined with the protection of their personal data. We believe that by taking such actions we contribute to increasing trust in our reliable services.
